Ministers, staff, interim and transitional ministers, candidates in formation. One hour a month, online, with someone outside the system who has nothing to gain from what they say.

Who I am

Rev. Jo Gustafson. Ordained. Seattle University, 2002. More than twenty years of spiritual direction since, much of it with people the church has been hard on. Online across time zones from Seattle.

What I offer

• Monthly spiritual direction for ministers and church staff.
• Direction for interim and transitional ministers through the length of an appointment.
• Direction for candidates in formation, where a program requires or recommends it.

How it works

One hour a month, on Zoom. The institution funds it; the person keeps it. Nothing said in the hour reaches the congregation, the board, the bishop or the search committee. The only thing the institution ever hears from me is an invoice.

Rate

$200 an hour, institution-funded, invoiced monthly. A short engagement agreement is provided that sets out confidentiality, invoicing and how either party ends the arrangement.

Beginning

The person books a free first hour with me directly, the same way anyone does. If it is a fit for us both, write to me about invoicing and we begin the following month.
